UTOPIA ISLAND
Just 75 miles south of Manila, Utopia Island is situated in paradisiacal Anilao, in the country's Batangas Province.
This beautiful private island sits in a protected marine area, where world-class diving can be enjoyed outside your front door. It is a mere 10 miles from the world famous Verde Island Passage.
The 3,994 square metre island property has just undergone extensive renovation, offering a stunning and luxurious home. The house features seven air conditioned bedrooms, all en suite, and two further bathrooms, with superb views of Balayan Bay from private verandas. A very spacious central lounge leads to outside balconies on three sides, and the island even has its own private restaurant.
There is a recently upgraded, huge outdoor seawater swimming pool that's easily filled and emptied., along with two newly constructed helipads, making the trip to and from Manila, a mere 20 minutes by helicopter.
Utopia Island uses power from the mainland, where just seven minutes away by boat, there's a jetty and large car park area included. The islands massive fresh water tanks use rain run-off to help keep the gardens lusciously green. About 10 minutes away are the fish, fruit and vegetable markets at Lemery. Even closer is the historic town of Taal, famed for its beautiful ancestral houses.
The current owner has recently started marketing the island as a luxury holiday rental, with income growing from a DTI registered Air B and B business. Tourism in Batangas has just received a boost after the government announced a 21km coastal road in 2023, linking to existing routes from outside the district.
