Being in Andalusia, in the south of Spain, the idea was to create a large garden with large covered outdoor spaces, giving a little shade when needed and where you could live outside both day and night, every day of the year. In the end, it was all about capturing the sunset with friends and family and relaxing with some tapas and excellent Spanish wines. At the same time, we needed to create the necessary intimacy with the adjoining buildings so that it could be lived outside without being exposed. Therefore, the concept is that the entire plot is a garden surrounded by a peripheral wall that is filled with content, this is the living room of the house, a private garden. On top of this landscape-living room we developed a courtyard house, a house on a garden. In winter, part of the private garden can be heated and also closed thanks to sliding windows. The periphery, the wall that surrounds the house, is full of different programs that communicate it with the central space on the ground floor. These contents surround the living room/garden like an endless landscape. On the periphery there are: A pond with a waterfall, turtles and the morning sun, an aromatic garden, the kitchen, the barbecue lounge area, the pool lounge area, the pool and the chill-out pool area, a jungle, the atelier/library and the entrance hall. Depending on the time of day, how many people are in the house and the mood of each one, you can interact with the different programs on the periphery by choosing between leisure or sport, reading, relaxing, cooking, etc. Along the edge of the pool there is an opening from which to contemplate a beautiful view of the mountains and through which the evening sun sneaks in. The bedrooms, the family room and the Yoga terrace are located on the first floor. A courtyard with a perforated stone façade filters light into the cupboards and closets.
