Only 30 km away from Bucharest, located on a hill with a great view of the shore of Neajlov river, the Mociorniță domain stretches. Here is the mansion built in the 1920s and extended in the 1940s by Plenipotentiary Minister Renato Bova Scoppa, Italy's ambassador to Romania between 1941-1945, who transformed it into his summer residence. Classified as a historical monument of local importance in the List of Historic Monuments, the mansion combines stylistic elements of local architecture (the fortified tower and the bulkiness specific for the kulas, fortified dwellings with defense role, but also used for housing) and Mediterranean, specific to Tuscany - porches with arcades and enhancing the indoor-outdoor connection. In 1945, Renato Bova Scoppa sells the property to Margarita Mociorniță, the eldest daughter of the famous entrepreneur from the inter-war period in Romania. Dumitru Mociorniță (1885-1953) was the most important manufacturer in the leather industry, a model of ambition and tenacity. In 1948, the manor is nationalized and will function during the communist period as city hall, school and dispensary. After 2000, it is returned to the heirs of Margarita Mociorniță, who sold it in 2003 to the current owners. In 2004 the mansion is classified as a Class B historical monument, and in the same year, the Comana Natural Park in its vicinity is declared a protected area. The new owners renovated the mansion and turned the estate into an organic farm. Currently, it is fully equipped and furnished, being perfectly functional. "I chose this place not only because it has a beautiful view, but also because it was undisturbed for 50 years and then I was sure it was free from pesticides. The beginning was difficult, it took a lot of work to reach an acceptable level ”, says the owner. The way of life chosen by his family is a true philosophy dominated by the closeness to nature. Obliged to put the mansion up for sale duet o personal reasons, he hopes to find a buyer who will commit to continuing to apply Victor Hugo's famous quote: „Il y a deux choses dans un édifice : son usage et sa beauté. (”There are two dimensions in a building: its use and its beauty. The use belongs to the owner, but the beauty belongs to all."). There is the possibility to purchase the furnished and fully equipped manor in order to serve a 45-seat restaurant. Another worth mentioning aspect, this time for the fishing lovers, is that the property includes a micro-delta of 2 ha that flows into the Neajlov river. A very important thing to mention is that Singureni will be connected to the Bucharest by an express road that will connect from the Eroii Revoluției metro station, the 2nd ring road of Bucharest on the highway, this road that will shorten the current distance and reduce travel time by car to less than 30 minutes. Due to the proximity to Bucharest, its partitioning, location and natural environment, the Mociorniță Mansion in Singureni can continue its beautiful story as a pension, event center, family or holiday residence.
