Belmont House is located in one of the most popular areas of Tortola for both holiday and rental investment properties or equally popular long-term private residences. This particularly well-built concrete stucco property has proven itself to be a catagory 5/6 hurricane resilient home. It survived the storm beautifully with only minimal repairs. The ceilings are concrete as well as the walls although the roof appears to be timber and galvalume.
Belmont House was modeled with a slightly Spanish influence (often found in New Mexico) which satisfies the need for cool ventilated interiors in the warm tropical weather zones of the Caribbean, with the pleasant yet continual 80 degree exterior temperatures. Belmont House is securely perched below a private country lane, on 0.8 acres, and conveniently close to several popular attractions such as outer island day trips and ferry rides at Soper’s Hole Marina where one can also keep a private yacht, lounging at Long Bay Beach, dining at several beach side restaurants, surfing at Apple Bay and/or beach combing, sipping a “pain killer” or snorkeling at Smugglers Cove.
When back at home, the large pool lies adjacent to the spacious decks, both covered and uncovered and within easy access to the living, kitchen and dining areas. To decide between a casual day on the deck of simply relaxing and watching the sunsets and enjoying the Caribbean lifestyle or island hopping is a daily tossup.
Belmont House is laid out in private pavilions, the eastern pavilion house has an expansive living room with high ceilings and large open windows, providing expansive sea views, and the main pavilion, consist of three bedrooms with three en-suite bathrooms. There is a well-equipped kitchen and a dining room off the eastern pavilion and a bright and welcoming decorating theme completes the main pavilion. The second pavilion offers large outside terraced areas excellent for sitting and enjoying the views.
